Thought about calling you today

Want desperately to hear your voice

To beg you to stay

A part of me hopes you’re happy with her

That you never think of me

That we’re just a blur

The other hopes you pine for me

See me on every crowded street

Say my name in your sleep

I played a part in your negligence

She’ll never know

Our secret, our recklessness

Your conflict was the problem

Said you wanted her and me

But I realized I was bottom

Had I thought that you would leave

I would have stayed

And watched her grieve

But instead I say goodbye

Can’t be a part of your lie

And I miss you all the time
